ThirdHonk LLC operates the THIRDHONK platform at thirdhonk.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. We do not receive or store your password.

User content. We store content you post including text, images, videos, and links, along with timestamps.

Direct messages. We store the content of direct messages between users for up to 30 days, after which they are permanently and automatically deleted from our systems. Message content is private and is not shared with third parties except as required by law.

Block list. If you block another user, we store that relationship to enforce the block. Block records are retained until you unblock the user or delete your account.

Usage data. We may collect information about how you interact with the Platform.

Flag reports. If you flag content, we record the report and reason associated with your account.

3. How we use your information

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Platform
• Display your profile and content to other users
• Enable social features such as likes, comments, and direct messages
• Enforce blocks between users
• Respond to flag reports and moderate content
• Communicate with you about your account

4. Information sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers. We use Supabase (database and auth), Cloudflare (image and file storage), and Mux (video hosting). These providers access your information only as needed to perform their services.

Legal requirements. We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect rights and safety. Any request for user information from a third party or government authority must be made in writing and accompanied by valid legal documentation supporting the collection thereof. We will not voluntarily disclose user information in response to informal or undocumented requests.

Business transfers. Your information may transfer as part of a merger or acquisition.

5. Direct messages and privacy

Direct messages are private between the two participants. However, the following applies:

• All direct messages are automatically and permanently deleted after 30 days with no exceptions
• Images shared via direct message may be reviewed by administrators if reported for policy violations
• We do not read, monitor, or analyze the content of private messages except as required by law or to investigate reported violations
• Do not use direct messages to store important information — messages cannot be recovered after deletion

6. Public content

Content you post, including your name, profile photo, and posts, is visible to other users. Do not post information you wish to keep private.

7. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal information within 30 days except where required by law. Deleted content may remain in backups for up to 90 days.

Direct messages are automatically and permanently deleted after 30 days regardless of account status. This deletion is irreversible.

• Access the personal information we hold about you

• Request deletion of your account and data
• Block other users to prevent contact and hide their content
• Withdraw consent for data processing where applicable

10. Security

We implement reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated policy with a new effective date.
